Jean-Charles Blais was born in 1956 in Nantes. He studied
from 1974 at the Art School of Rennes until 1979.
At the beginning of the 1980âs, he painted on torn posters
and other material. In 1981, he
participated to the âTo end with beautyâ exhibition, organized by Bernard
Lamarche-Vadel, which exhibition formed the âFiguration libreâ movement. He had
a personal exhibition in 1987 at the Pompidou center in Paris.
He realised in 1990 a giant frieze with printed posters on the «
Assemblée Nationale » metro station walls, in Paris. Today, he
dedicated himself to create works using numerical technologies.
